In the footsteps of the Queen

I discovered that the house in which this kitchen has been designed is located in a part of Richmond-upon-Thames that had been an Hermitage and a Merlin’s Cave created under the direction of King George II’s Queen Caroline in the 18th Century. And though the public enjoyed the cave, both structures were mocked and considered as nonsense by the King. They were both demolished in 1770 by Capability Brown. I just find it fascinating that I live and work in an area that’s this rich in history and were trod on by English nobility.

One thing I really love about this @pronormkitchendesign is that the personality of the owners are well on display. And that’s very refreshing!
