Free Free Palestine!

The Free Palestine March on the 15th of February began in Whitehall, marching down Millbank, over Vauxhall bridge and on to the US Embassy in Nine Elms. I joined the procession in Pimlico just before the procession crossed the bridge. For the first time I was witness to a pro-Israel group, accompanied by several people with Union Jack flags. There was a cordon of police separating our group from theirs. I still don’t really understand the gestures they were making with their hands and the mocking tone they were using. The pro—Palestinian march was, as ever, peaceful, passionate and defiant in defense of justice for the Gaza and the West Bank.
