Clamp Down in Whitehall

Last Saturday those of us who have been supporting a ceasefire in Gaza were told that we would not be allowed to march from Whitehall to the BBC. The march therefore became a stationery protest, though with just as much passion as all of the marches I’ve attended in London. The biggest difference was the number of police in attendance — apparently from all over the UK, in order to basically kettle us outside of 10 Downing Street. Never before have so many been arrested or questioned under caution as far as I’m aware. All for attempting voice our disgust and disdain over the genocidal war taking place in Gaza and holding politicians and the BBC to account.
